Stock Market Highlights on Tuesday, July 14, 2026: The Nifty50 and the Sensex closed substantially lower as PSU bank, real estate, and auto companies fell amid rising tensions in West Asia.
The Nifty50 closed 159 points, or 0.66 percent, lower at 24,052.05, while the Sensex slid 561.46 points, or 0.72 percent, to 77,054.94.
The biggest declines in the Nifty50 were HCLTech, Shriram Finance, and HDFC Life Insurance Company.
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and Nifty SmallCap fell 0.44 percent and 1.01 percent, respectively.
The Nifty Realty, Nifty PSU Bank, and Nifty Auto fell the most, while the Nifty Pharma rose the most.
