Stock Market Highlights on Monday, June 22, 2026: The Nifty50 and Sensex closed higher, mirroring gains in IT and pharmaceutical stocks, as oil prices fell further.
The Nifty50 closed 90 points higher, or 0.37 percent, at 24,102.90, while the Sensex advanced 0.38 percent, or 291.17 points, to 77,094.07.
The biggest gainers in the Nifty50 index included Cipla, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories.
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and Nifty SmallCap closed 0.34 percent and 0.6% higher, respectively.
Sector-wise, the Nifty IT, Nifty Pharma, and Nifty Healthcare outperformed, whilst the Nifty FMCG and Nifty Consumer Durables declined the most.
