Stock Market Highlights on Wednesday, Sept 30, 2026: The main indices extended their losses for the third session as oil prices rose amid diminishing optimism for a US-Iran deal.
The Sensex slid 48.78 points, or 0.07 percent, to 72,480.29, while the Nifty50 dropped 95.75 points, or 0.42 percent, to 22,620.45.
Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, Max Healthcare Institute, and BSE were the biggest losers in the Nifty50 index.
In the broader market, the Nifty MidCap 100 and Nifty SmallCap finished 0.02 percent and 0.27 percent higher, respectively.
Sector-wise, Nifty Realty, Nifty Private Bank, and Nifty Media increased the most, while Nifty Healthcare, Nifty Pharma, Nifty Consumer Durable, and Nifty Metal fell the most.
