Stock Market Highlights on Tuesday, Sept 29, 2026: The benchmark indices fell for the second day in a row, with rising oil prices and volatility in global bond yields fueling risk-off sentiment.
The Sensex sank 242.65 points, or 0.33 percent, to 72,529.07, while the Nifty50 dropped 64.05 points, or 0.28 percent, to 22,716.20.
Titan Company, Wipro India, and HCLTech were the biggest losers in the Nifty50 index.
In the broader market, the Nifty MidCap and Nifty SmallCap lost 0.99% and 0.81 percent, respectively.
Sector-wise, the Nifty Consumer Durables, Nifty Chemical, Nifty Realty, and Nifty IT fell the most, while the Nifty Pharma and Nifty Healthcare rallied.
