Stock Market Highlights on Thursday, July 30, 2026: The Nifty50 and Sensex closed the lackluster session with minor advances as investors focused on the geopolitical situation in West Asia.
The Sensex jumped 273.55 points, or 0.35 percent, to 77,928.15, while the Nifty50 gained 66.95 points, or 0.28 percent, to 24,317.15.
The top gainers on the Nifty50 index were Mahindra & Mahindra, Coal India, and Eicher Motors.
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and Nifty SmallCap closed 0.35 percent and 0.56 percent lower, respectively.
Nifty Realty fell 2% and lagged its rivals. Nifty Chemical also underperformed. The Nifty Auto, Nifty Oil and Gas, and Nifty Consumer Durables all outperformed.
