Stock Market Highlights on Thursday, Sept 10, 2026: The benchmark indices ended a three-day losing skid as bank shares rallied amid continued oil price volatility.
The Sensex increased 138.36 points, or 0.19 percent, to 74,902.59, while the Nifty50 closed 46.30 points, or 0.2% higher, at 23,477.80.
The top gainers on the Nifty50 index were HDFC Life Insurance Company, Power Grid Corporation of India, and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and Nifty SmallCap fell 0.38 percent and 0.07 percent, respectively.
Sector-wise, Nifty Financial Services, Nifty PSU Bank, and Nifty Private Bank performed well, while Nifty Auto and Nifty Metal underperformed.
