NTA UGC NET December 2025 Exam Dates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) published exam dates for the December 2025 session. The UGC NET December 2025 tests will begin on December 31, 2025, and last until January 7, 2026. The UGC NET December 2025 exams, which will be conducted as computer-based tests (CBT) across the country, will cover 85 disciplines. The exam is designed to establish eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor, and PhD admissions at Indian universities and colleges.
While releasing the exam dates, the NTA also stated that the notification for the city of exam centre will be issued on the NTA website – ugcnet.nta.nic.in – 10 days before the start of the exam.
The NTA UGC NET December 2025 application procedure is already ongoing. It began on October 7, and the registration link will remain open until November 7. Candidates will also have the option to modify their UGC NET December 2025 application forms between November 10 and November 12.
The NTA had previously asked aspirants to verify that their Aadhaar card, UDID card (for persons with disabilities), and category certificates (EWS/ SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL) were up to date and valid before filling out the UGC NET 2025 December application form. This phase is intended to avoid discrepancies or rejection at later stages of the admissions process.
The guidance further emphasizes that the Aadhaar card should contain accurate information such as the candidate’s name, date of birth (as per Class 10 certificate), photograph, address, and father’s name. Similarly, candidates with disabilities must verify that their certifications are current, updated, and renewed as needed. Candidates in reserved categories must ensure that their certifications are current and meet all standards.
