Bhubaneswar: The Covid vaccination drive shall be suspended in 12 districts of Odisha today as a result of scarcity of vaccines.
The districts are as follows: Balasore, Bhadrak, Boudh, Cuttack, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Khordha, Koraput, Mayurbhanj and Puri districts.
However, the vaccination programme will continue within the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area.
It is noteworthy that, the third phase of vaccination drive will begin from May 1 covering the age groups of 18-44 years.
Odisha government has however informed that the drive will not start from May 1 within the state due to the acute scarcity of vaccines.
