The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the online registration process for admissions to its Online and Distance Learning (ODL) programs for the July 2025 session. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The deadline to submit applications is July 15.
Candidates seeking admission to online programs should register at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in. Registration is now open for both online and distant learning. Students can also apply for scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal (www.scholarships.gov.in).
IGNOU Admission 2025: DEB ID mandatory for all applicants
As per the university’s latest notification, creation of a DEB ID is mandatory before submitting the IGNOU application form. The DEB (Distance Education Bureau) ID ensures that students enrolling in online or distance learning programmes are properly registered with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) under the guidelines of the University Grants Commission.
“The DEB ID is mandatory for submission of the application. Please create your DEB ID before starting the application process,” the official notice states.
How to generate DEB ID for IGNOU Admission 2025?
–First, candidates must create an Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID.
–After generating the ABC ID, proceed to the DEB ID registration.
–Enter the required details such as email address and mobile number as instructed.
–Submit the details and generate your DEB ID.
In case of any difficulty during the process, students can reach out to their nearest IGNOU Regional Centre or Study Centre for assistance, or seek assistance through the admission helplines.
IGNOU TEE June 2025: Admit cards released
Meanwhile, IGNOU has issued admission cards for the June 2025 Term-End Examination (TEE). Candidates taking the exams can obtain their hall tickets from the university’s official websites: ignou.ac.in or ignou.samarth.edu.in.
Only students who have successfully completed their registration and exam form submission are eligible to download their IGNOU TEE 2025 admit card and sit for the upcoming exams.
