Strong winds can harm plantations, horticulture, and standing crops, as well as banana trees. They can also break tree limbs, causing damage to power and communication cables and loose or unsecured structures. People are encouraged to keep an eye on the weather for increasing conditions and be prepared to relocate to safer areas if necessary.
They should stay indoors, close all windows and doors, and avoid traveling if possible. It is critical not to seek shelter under trees and to avoid lying on concrete floors or leaning against walls during a thunderstorm.
Due to significant thunderstorm and rain activity, day temperatures in Odisha have dropped. Angul recorded the highest maximum temperature of 39.1 degrees Celsius, while Hirakud and Talcher recorded 39 degrees Celsius. Cuttack recorded 37.6 degrees Celsius and Bhubaneswar 37.2 degrees Celsius.
