The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has announced the results of the Class 12 senior secondary public exams held in April 2026. Students can get their NIOS 12th result 2026 by entering their registration number on the official website, results.nios.ac.in.
The NIOS 12th exams for the April session ran from April 10 to May 6, 2026. The results contain subject-specific marks, overall marks, and each candidate’s qualifying status. Students are urged to download and keep a copy of the provisional marksheet for instant reference, as it will be required for further education and other purposes.
How to check NIOS Class 12th Result 2026:?
Follow these steps to check the class 12th NIOS result:
Step 1: Visit the official website at results.nios.ac.in
Step 2: Click on the Senior Secondary Result 2026 link on the homepage
Step 3: Enter your 12-digit enrollment number and captcha code
Step 4: Click Submit — your result will be displayed on the screen
Step 5: Download the scorecard and take a printout for future reference
Students who are dissatisfied with their results may apply for rechecking or revaluation of their answer papers. Applications for rechecking must be made within 15 days of the announcement of the results, with a charge of Rs 300 per subject payable online. Within 30 days of receiving their results, students can request that their personal information any totaling errors be corrected.
The charge for revaluation is Rs 300 per subject. If a student’s marks increase by 5% or more during revaluation, the revised marks will be updated. If the new marks are lower than the original, the previous score will be kept.
The outcome can also be retrieved via DigiLocker and SMS services. NIOS will send the marks statement-cum-certificate and migration-cum-transfer certificate to the appropriate regional centres for distribution to students.
The NIOS Class 12 results for the October 2026 session will be released in January 2027.
