Stock Market Highlights on Thursday, May 21, 2026: The Nifty50 and Sensex fell as IT and FMCG firms dragged, while traders kept an eye on the situation in West Asia.
The Nifty50 closed at 23,654.70, down 4.30 points or 0.02 percent, while the Sensex down 135.03 points or 0.18 percent to 75,183.36.
The leading losers on the Nifty50 index were Bajaj Financia, Tech Mahindra, and Hindustan Unilever.
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap settled 0.04 percent lower, while the Nifty SmallCap ended 0.63 percent higher.
The Nifty FMGC, Nifty IT, and Nifty Financial Services sectors all had the most decrease. Meanwhile, Nifty Realty and Nifty Cement outperformed.
