Stock Market Highlights on Thursday, June 18, 2026: The Nifty50 and Sensex climbed on fag-end buying, with PSU banks, healthcare, metals, and real estate sectors providing support.
The Nifty50 closed 0.34 percent higher, or 82.30 points, at 24,168.00, while the Sensex advanced 0.33 percent, or 254.36 points, to 77,409.98.
The top gainers on the Nifty50 index were Max Healthcare Institute, InterGlobe Aviation, and Adani Enterprises.
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and the Nifty SmallCap finished 0.41 percent and 0.44 percent higher, respectively.
Sector-wise, the Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Healthcare, Nifty Realty, and Nifty Consumer Durables performed well. Meanwhile, the Nifty IT became the worst-performing index.
