Share Market Close Highlights: Sensex jumps 919 points, Nifty ends at 24,050 as traders assess US-Iran tensions

Stock Market Highlights on Friday, April 10, 2026: The Nifty50 and Sensex resumed their upward trends after a one-day pause as traders analyzed the situation in West Asia.

The Nifty50 fell 1.16 percent, or 275.40 points, to 24,050.50, while the Sensex rose 1.20 percent, or 918.60 points, to 77,550.25.

Asian Paints, Eicher Motors, Bajaj Auto, and Shriram Finance were the top gainers on the Nifty50 index.

Broader markets outperformed their benchmark indices. The Nifty MidCap and Nifty SmallCap indices closed 1.52% and 1.65% higher, respectively.

Sector-wise, the Nifty Auto, Nifty Bank, and Nifty Financial Services underperformed their rivals. The Nifty IT index rose the most.
