Stock Market Highlights on Monday, May 11, 2026: The Nifty50 and Sensex fell as consumer durables and real estate companies dragged on concerns about the impact of the West Asia war.
The Nifty50 closed 360.30 points, or 1.49 percent, lower at 23,815.85, while the Sensex closed 1312.91 points, or 1.70 percent lower at 76,015.28.
Titan Company, InterGlobe Aviation, and State Bank of India were the biggest losers in the Nifty50 index.
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and Nifty SmallCap indices fell 1.05 percent and 1.13 percent, respectively.
The Nifty Consumer Durables lost roughly 4%, becoming the sector’s worst performer among peers. The Nifty Realty, Nifty PSU Bank, and Nifty Media all underperformed.
The Nifty FMCG, Nifty Pharma, and Nifty Healthcare performed well.
