Stock Market Highlights on Wednesday, March 25, 2026: The Indian equities benchmark indexes closed higher for the second straight session as oil prices fell as US President Donald Trump reiterated that talks to end the Middle East conflict are ongoing.
The Nifty 50 closed 1.72 percent or 392.70 points higher at 23,306.45, while the Sensex was trading 1.63 percent or 1,205 points higher at 75,273.45.
Broader markets outperformed the benchmark indices. The Nifty MidCap and SmallCap indices finished 2.30 and 2.59% higher, respectively.
Sector-wise, the Nifty Consumer Durables emerged as the highest performer. The Nifty Realty and Nifty PSU Bank likewise outperformed the majority of its counterparts.
Meanwhile, the Nifty IT has underperformed.
