Stock Market Highlights on Monday, July 6, 2026: The Nifty50 and Sensex extended their gains into the fourth session, with real estate, auto, and oil and gas companies providing support.
The Sensex advanced 521.16 points, or 0.67 percent, to 78,285.07, while the Nifty50 gained 159.50 points, or 0.66 percent, to 24,430.35.
The top gainers on the Nifty50 index were HDFC Bank, Hindalco Industries, and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation.
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and Nifty SmallCap indices closed 0.45% and 0.75 percent higher, respectively.
The Nifty Realty outperformed and reached a six-month high. The Nifty Auto reached a one-month high. The Nifty Oil & Gas and Nifty Consumer Durables also performed well.
