Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi examined the Health Department’s numerous projects, with an emphasis on improving healthcare infrastructure.
According to a release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), major choices were made to improve health care, including initiating the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) as a pilot project in Keonjhar district. If successful, it will be expanded statewide.
The digital mission seeks to digitize services such as appointments, bookings, referrals, and follow-ups, thereby lowering patient wait times and maximizing healthcare infrastructure utilization.
CM Majhi has also decided to offer Diplomate of National Board (DNB) courses at District Headquarter Hospitals (DHHs) to help doctors improve their abilities. This will allow doctors to specialize through practical and clinical training.
Furthermore, to promote and popularize AYUSH treatment, CM Majhi has directed AYUSH doctors to prescribe solely Ayurvedic medicines rather than allopathic ones.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister has asked that Ayurvedic and homoeopathic drugs be made available at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in order to prioritize the services of AYUSH practitioners in Odisha.
