Stock Market Highlights on Monday, Aug 3, 2026: The Nifty50 and Sensex extended their winning streak to four sessions as oil prices fell dramatically amid reports of US-Iran talks.
The Sensex increased 544.39 points, or 0.7%, to 78,639.03, while the Nifty finished the new closing auction session (CAS) 391 points, or 1.6% higher, at 24,774.30.
The top gainers in the Nifty50 index were InterGlobe Aviation, Infosys, and Tata Consultancy Services.
In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and Nifty SmallCap closed 1.21 percent and 1.29 percent higher, respectively.
Sector-wise, the Nifty IT, Nifty FMCG, and Nifty PSU Bank led gains, while the Nifty Media fell most.
